PART 2: PATCHWORK QUILTING
compared to the face, this section was relatively easier. after gathering the fabrics i wanted, i cut each piece one by one into smaller 6x6 inch squares (5x5in in quilt, but added extra for seam allowance).
after cutting out each piece, i arranged them into the desired shape, and switched them around until i was happy with how the pattern looked.
after arranging the pieces, i used a sewing machine to first sew all the rows together, than sewed those rows to one another. one of the more challenging aspects of this part of my project was keeping the patchwork lined up, and having the vertical lines be lined up with one another.
